**Different types of Modules in Amsyst and how they work**

**1. Amsyst Assets module**

The Assets module is the epicenter of the Amsyst platform. All you have to do is load your Assets, that come from your CMMS, and manage and organize them in a functional hierarchy. Further, you have to define Asset properties like Make and Model, Type, and Criticality.

Finally, other resources are managed on the parameters page, for example, Tooling, Labor types, and Criticality levels. In Amsyst, the Assets module lets you visualize all your Assets and their properties. You can Add new Assets, and edit Asset properties and characteristics as per your requirement.

Managing your voluminous assets looks quite critical but that’s not on the Amsyst platform. Here, firstly assets and their properties are used in all other modules on the platform. And also because they are link back to your CMMS database. With the Amsyst Assets module, set up a mirror image of your CMMS Asset list, and augment it with Asset properties that will be used throughout the platform.

**2. Location Module**
- **Manage Location**

The first step is to define Locations. Locations are physical spaces like rooms or spaces delimited by clear boundaries.

- **Add drawing**

The next step is to add a drawing, layout or photo representing the Locations.

- **Position Assets**

Add Assets to the Location and position them on the map.

- **Order Assets**

And finally determine a nominal order for the Assets, as you would walk through the Location.

In Amsyst, the Location module lets you manage locations, add assets to a location, and position them on the map. You can create new locations, organize locations in a hierarchy, or remove unused locations.

Locations are a fundamental component of the Amsyst platform. The PM document generated in Amsyst makes extensive use of your maps and asset positions, providing your crew with specific information for asset inspections.

The physical location of your assets is also critical for planning maintenance activities accurately and regularly. With Amsyst locations module, you can develop a comprehensive system for managing and integrating the physical location of your Assets.

**3. Fast Criticality Module**

The purpose of Fast Criticality module is to untap the risks associated with the operation of the assets and determine their Criticality.

**How does it work?**

The first step is to define the various risks and their consequences for your business. For example, the cost of an hour's downtime. You can create risk models. They include information related to the most significant failure scenarios, for each typical equipment class.

Adjust the parameters, like likelihood or downtime duration, and associated impacts. This becomes the risk footprint for the Model. Link the Model to the Assets.

Taking into account the process and product linked to the Asset, the criticality is then automatically calculated. In Amsyst, the Risk Models page lets you manage Models and their Risk scenarios. Create, duplicate or delete Models, and check how many Assets are currently linked to a Model.

**4. Amsyst Fast PM module**

The purpose of Fast PM is to define the Preventative Maintenance activities for your Assets. The first step is to create Models. Models are templates containing tasks. They usually refer to a type of equipment (for example a centrifugal pump). The next step is to add tasks in the Model. Tasks can be copied from existing Models or the component library, or manually created if required.

Adjust the task parameters, like frequency or duration, and enable the tasks for each level of criticality. This becomes the strategy footprint for the Model. And finally, link the Model to the Assets. Depending on the criticality of these Assets, Tasks will now flow to the Routing module, ready for implementation.
